Mercedes A-Class sedan finally gets all-new performance version, which will be sold as 2020 Mercedes-AMG A35. Up front, it will be based mainly on CLS model. However, main grille is also inspired by the AMG GT’s grille. 2020 AMG A35 also comes with more aggressive bumper, multibeam LED headlights and bigger splitter. Side view reveals new 18-inch alloy wheels, sportier AMG side sills and lower ride height. Around back, 2020 A35 AMG has trunk lid spoiler, redesigned lower bumper, large round exhaust pipes and sportier diffuser. Inside the cabin, new AMG A35 for 2020 comes with AMG flat-bottom leather steering wheel. Both, infotainment display and the instrument cluster are borrowed from CLS and S version. AMG A35 is equipped with two-tone dashboard, two 10.12-inch screens, leather sport seats, 64 color ambient lighting and all-new MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system. Luggage room on the future AMG A35 is 14.8-cubic feet.

2020 Mercedes-AMG A35 engine is 2.0-liter 4-cylinder unit capable of producing 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through AMG Speedshift DCT 7G dual-clutch transmission, along with 4Matic all-wheel drive system. Acceleration time from 0 to 60 mph is set in 4.8 seconds. AMG A35 comes with 5 different driving modes, along with AMG Dynamic Select program. This includes Comfort, Sport, Sport+ Slippery and Individual mode. 2020 A35 AMG top speed is set at 155 mph, while fuel economy is rated at 32 mpg. AMG A35 is equipped with various safety systems and features such as Active Distance Assist Distronic, Active Lane Change Assist, Active Brake Assist and Active Emergency Spot Assist.
